LAX is about to make a huge terminal switch which is expected to slow down wait times considerably in the interim. The move will be made be late and night and early in the mornings on May 12, 14, and 16 so that Delta can start on $1.9 billion in renovations.

Twenty-eight different airlines will need to be moved in the process, with 21 of them requiring switched of check-in spots or gates. Passengers are being urged to double check their terminal and gate numbers multiple times to make sure they end up in the right spot.

The Delta renovation is expected to take seven years and will connect the Terminal Two and Three with the Tom Bradley International Terminal.

The LAWA CEO Deborah Flint released a statement about the move.

“It all comes down to our guests being informed and taking the necessary actions to make sure they are in the right place at the right time to catch their flights. During the relocation and in the weeks following, passengers are advised to check-in online, print or download boarding passes, and check terminal and gate information before coming to LAX.”
