The story of Motorola was really good and they were pretty quick to release any kind of updates, be it software update or the major OS update when they were under Google. But with Lenovo’s acquisition of Motorola things are changed a lot now.

While most of the smartphone is normally supposed to get the updates for two years after its announcement, Motorola is not following that trend currently. Also, while the security updates used to follow once a month by Motorola, a dramatic change is being followed there as well. Now the security updates are pushed in every few months. All these irregular updates by Motorola may result into losing of customers eventually.

Anyways the Moto G4 Plus users will soon receive the Android Oreo update, however, it might take some time also as this update is unplanned and was not previously decided by Motorola. So, wait for few more days to get the taste of Android Oreo if you are a Motorola user.
