Paris has announced that the city will keep many of its parks open for 24 hours through the summer nights. Picnic under the stars here we come!
“Les Jardins Nocturnes,” AKA the night gardens, is a plan to “adapt facilities to the needs of city-dwellers and to their schedules.”
There will be security on hand to keep watch for trouble as well as make sure that the noice levels don’t get too high for the people who are choosing to sleep through their nights. But this isn’t entirely new, there are actually 137 different parks and small gardens in Paris that are already open 24 hours a day.
If you’re planning to go, you might want to bring along some light.
