Singapore’s Changi Airport has announced that they will be opening an amusement park in 2019. The park, called the Jewel, will be a glass and steel structure in front of Terminal one.
There will be five stories of an indoor garden with giant floral sculptures and topiary, equipped with nets to allow people to walk through the garden from high above the ground. There will be tube slides, a huge 131-foot waterfall, a bouncy net, a maze made out of hedges, and even simulated clouds designed by San Francisco’s The Exploratorium.
The structure of the park was designed by award-winning Canadian-Israeli architect Moshe Safdie, and the attractions were a collaboration project with consultants from Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the United States.
The airport has already been named the best in the world for its entertainment value in the past.
