Good news for the PlayStation users, Sony has now dropped the price of two PlayStation VR bundles.

The company announced that the PSVR new bundle is available for $399 which would include the headset and PlayStation Camera peripheral. Earlier just the headset had cost $399. One could say that the camera has been included for free and the buyers now wouldn’t have to pay anything extra for a necessary peripheral.

Earlier this year there were retailers who in order to promote the sale of PSVR Bundles had offered free camera but now after dropping the price, Sony seems to have made it official.

The PlayStation VR Worlds Bundle which has received a price drop of $50 will now be available at $449 – it would include two PlayStation Move Controllers. Camera and the Mini Game Collection produced by Sony PlayStation World.

Both the bundles would be available at the discounted price from September 1, 2017.

PlayStation is not the only one to have slashed prices on their VR Equipment. A week back HTC had announced that Vive would be available for $599 which is a massive price cut.

Vive was available for $799 and got a $200 reduction. Oculus was the one who set the trend of price reduction. On July this year, the company lowered the price of their Rift & Touch bundle by $200 and bought it down to $399.

Compared to HTC and Oculus, Sony doesn’t seem to have gone down as much. That said even though HTC and Oculus offered greater price reduction Microsoft happens to be the cheapest bargain among all the three.

For now, Microsoft is preparing for the launch of its Xbox One X which the company claims would be able to run games natively at Ultra HD, a resolution which is 4 times higher than Full HD.
