The 290-square-mile island is 60 percent covered by rainforests and has no large resorts. Dominica’s Morne Trois Pitons National Park was named a World Heritage Site back in 1998 but it hasn’t been a busy destination.
Now there are more flights being offered that make it easier to the island which could increase it’s travel flow.
The best way to get there is to fly into San Juan, Puerto Rico and then hop on a smaller plane. It can also be reached by ferry from nearby islands.
