Anyone who really wants to do it up large at the Kentucky Derby is in luck. The event is now serving up mint juleps which will cost up to $2,500. They’ve been using the Kentucky bourbon manufacturer Woodford Reserve for the past 12 years to serve cocktails, and now there are some extra special alternatives.
One is the “Noble Cup” which comes in at $1,000. It comes in a metal cup that has been crafted by a Louisville-based jeweler named From the Vault. The Woodford Reserve sipping straw that tops it off is also plated in gold.
The $2,500 option will be the “Royal Cup.” It’s basically the same as the latter except the metal cup with also be gold plated to match the straw. They both come in a silk purse. Interested parties should make their purchases online and then will be able to pick the cups up in person…and pose for a commemorative photo with them of course.
