A hotel in Spain has launched a “sanctuary” for all those pool floaties that get left behind. The Hipotels Gran Playa de Palma hotel in Majorca holds onto the floats that get left behind by guests and then offers them for adoption to new guests.
Haven’t we all left a pool float behind? They’re easy enough to take on a trip (or buy upon arrival), but the deflation process isn’t the most convenient. They never really return to those clean, compact packages that they came in.
Some surveys have estimated that while half of people buy pool floaties for trips that include water fun, only 28 percent of them take the float home when they leave. That’s a lot of leftover floats.
