The Trump enforced U.S. electronics ban could now be extending to Europe as well. Last month the ban was launched on electronics such as laptops, tablets, e-readers, and video games on flights from specified airports in the Middle East and Africa.

However, a spokeswoman named Gillian Christensen from the Department of Homeland Security has said no official decision has yet been made regarding the U.K.

“We’ve said we will continue to evaluate the threat environment and make determinations based on that assessment, but we have not made any decisions on expanding the current restrictions against large electronic devices in aircraft cabins from selected airports.”

A spokesperson from the U.K. government responded to the ban talk as well.

“The safety and security of the traveling public is our highest priority. We keep aviation security under constant review, but we do not comment on speculation.”
